Randy J. Bentrup, 67

Randy J. Bentrup, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Hospice Home. He was born August 11, 1949 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Ralph Robert and Lorane Sarah (Young) Bentrup. He worked as an auto body specialist and retired from Maaco in 2007. He also was co-owner of Shively’s Body Shop.

He enjoyed many things in life. Working on cars, camping, taking road trips, antiquing, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, were a few of his favorites. He was a big NASCAR fan and loved to restore classic cars.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian K. (Hedstrom) Bentrup of Fort Wayne; daughters, Renee (Jason Lester) Masel of Fort Wayne, Theresa (Larry) Wolf of Albion, Indiana, and Rachelle (Randy) Lane of Fort Wayne; step children, Erin Quegan, Jaimee (Brian) Greiner, and Ryan (Kali) Bentrup; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; five step grandchildren; brother, Rollan Bentrup; sisters in law, Cheryl (Wayne) Quickery and Vicki (Ralph) Beeks; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11 AM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
