WINNING TEAM WILL ENJOY PIZZA
The Bishop Luers Swim team was looking for a service project to do and this seemed like a good fit. Besides FWCS; Concordia, Dwenger and Canterbury all use the Natatorium as our “Home” pool. It’s a great way to give back to FWCS.
So far the response has been great and approval has been given from Liz Caywood, aquatic director at Helen P. Brown Natatorium, for sponsoring a High School Swim & Dive Book Drive Challenge. The Challenge will run over the holiday break, from December 22 – January 4th.
Here’s how it will work:
·Teams will compete against each other to see who can donate the most books in the set time.
·Each book turned in will be accompanied by an “entry sheet” that a swimmer or diver will turn in each time he/she brings in books. Books will be checked in and recorded at the front desk and then put into the book bin.
·At the end of the 2 weeks, totals for teams and individuals will be tallied.
The Winning Team will have a pizza party! And a shirt will be given to the individual who single-handedly donates the most books!
Donated books will then be given to FWCS students to enhance literacy skills.
