BARBARA ALICE (ESCH) NOBLE, 95

BARBARA ALICE (ESCH) NOBLE, 95BARBARA ALICE (ESCH) NOBLE, 95, of Decatur, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Woodcrest Retirement Community in Decatur. She was born on March 8, 1921 in Dhamtari, India to the late Christian David and Mina Ellen (Brubaker) Esch.

She was a dedicated teacher at Waynedale Elementary School for 24 years, retiring in 1981. After retirement, Barbara enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, Ed, in their Airstream trailer. Barbara was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church and the Waynedale Eastern Star.
Surviving are her son, William D. (Nancy) Noble of Fort Wayne, daughter-in-law, LeAnna Noble of Decatur, son-in-law, William Euske of Albany, Oregon; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar B. Noble, Jr.; sons, Alfred and David; daughter, Dorothy Euske; and 5 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services will be Friday, June 17, 2016 at 11 AM at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Waynedale United Methodist Church, or the First United Methodist Church, Decatur, Visitation Program.
