2015 RACING SEASON READY TO ROLL

Baer Field Speedway Grand ReopeningOpening Night set for Saturday, April 11th

Baer Field Speedway and new Co-Promoters / General Managers, Dave & Jody Muzzillo have put all their time and effort into the revitalization of the historic Summit City speed plant since the announcement of them taking over control of operations of the speedway. Now all of that hard work is about to come to be rewarded starting with the Grand Reopening/Opening Night 2015 at Baer Field Speedway on Saturday, April 11th.

The Fort Wayne Transmission ‘Hot 5’ weekly racing series divisions will take on the fast 3/8s (0.375) mile semi-banked paved oval during the regular season. The AR Bodied Late Model Sportsman and Emma Warehouse Modifieds will share the co-headlining honors throughout the regular season. They will be joined on a weekly basis by the Kings John Services Street Stocks, Afdent Dentistry Mini Stocks and Grote Automotive Compacts.

For the month of April special starting times are in place beginning with the Grand Reopening on Saturday, April 11th. Pit gates open at 11:00a.m., practice is at 12:00p.m., qualifying at 2:30p.m., and racing starts at 4:00p.m. Then starting on Saturday, May 2nd, normal starting times for the remainder of the season will see the Pit gates opening at 2:00p.m., practice begins at 4:00p.m., qualifying is at 5:30p.m., with racing getting the Green Flag at 7:00p.m.

The highlight of the 2015 schedule will see the return of the Outlaw bodied Super Late Models who will take on the fast 1/2 (0.500) mile semi-banked paved oval on Wednesday, July 15th in the running of the Hoosier 100. ARCA Gold Cup/Main Event Racing Series rules will apply for this event.

The Broaster Chicken ICAR Top Speed Modified Tour Southern Division will pay a visit to the Summit City oval on two occasions beginning with their 2015 season opener on Saturday, May 9th. The premier open-wheeled Modified Tour in the country returns to Baer Field on Saturday, August 1st as part of the tracks Sharper Image Fence Night of Destruction also scheduled for that evening.

The fire breathing, winged warriors of the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint Series invades the Summit City on Saturday, August 15th while the Vore’s Compact Touring Series will be the first tour to visit Fort Wayne on Saturday, April 25th in a special Vore’s VS Baer Field Compacts grudge match. The Late Model Sportsman and Modifieds will race in special ‘Double O’ races utilizing both the 1/2 mile and 3/8s mile together with the Modifieds going first on Saturday, May 2nd. The Late Model Sportsman will then try their hand at the Double ‘O’ on Saturday, May 30th.

The Fourth of July will be celebrated with a full ‘Hot 5’ show as well as fireworks, the band, Marshal Law performing during the Party After the Races. Plus there will be $.25 beer & FREE food in celebration of Independence Day. Overall, an action packed schedule is lined up on Saturday nights throughout the 2015 racing season from April-August.
