GAYNELL ISABELLE SHADY, 98
GAYNELL ISABELLE SHADY, 98, passed away at Saint Anne Home and went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 1, 2014. Born on June 26, 1916 to Ozro Lee and Laura Effie (Echelbarger) Bryant near Ossian, IN. She graduated from Ossian H.S. in 1934. She loved her Lord and church activities. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Gaynell provided a loving home for her Husband and their three children, always there with encouragement and understanding. She also loved to paint landscapes and other pictures, becoming quite accomplished.
She is survived by her three children, Lynn (Donna) Shady, Marcella Bordner, and Neal Shady, all from Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Greg Shady, Mark Bordner, Laura Adams and Steve Bordner; and great-grandchildren, Stephen Bordner and Andrew “Drew” Bordner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell M. Shady in 1990; son-in-law, Neal Bordner in 2013; brother, Vernon Bryant; and two sisters, Myrl Fryback and Frances Robrock.
Funeral service will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 11AM at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian, IN.
