2014 KEKIONGA FESTIVAL
The Kekionga Festival begins Friday August 20th and continues through Sunday, August 24. With events held downtown,at Riverside Center and around town this is truly a city-wide event.
The sixth annual Mayor’s Challenge begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, followed by a large number of events around the Riverside Center property.
Saturday activities at Riverside center include the living history village, historical and educational displays, food, and entertainment. Jackson Street, is home to the Callithumpian car show with the Farmer’s Barnyard (petting zoo) along the riverbank. A kids carnival will be held in the Chamber parking lot, featuring bounce houses, games and dunk tank.
Downtown events include the sidewalk sale, food vendors, flea market, sidewalk chalk art and entertainment.
The public is invited to visit the living history village throughout the evening and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
