FRANCES C. FORDYCE, 88
FRANCES C. FORDYCE, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born November 20, 1924, daughter of the late Harry and Minnie Martinez. She worked at many, various, retail stores throughout her life. She enjoyed, in her later years, volunteering as a grand friend at Mount Calvary Lutheran Preschool.
Surviving are her daughters, Sherry (John) Henry, Kay Logan, Julie (Rich) Hartman, all of Fort Wayne, Elaine Beckman of Churubusco, and Connie (Rick) Price of Decatur; siblings, Buddy Martinez, Maye Jacobs, Bill Martinez, Clifford Martinez, and Judy Alderman, all of Tampa, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were her husband, Max Fordyce in 1971; daughter, Valerie “Ingy” Plunkett; grandson, Jef Buckmaster; and sister, Helen Wardlow.
Funeral service was Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation 2 hours prior to services. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
