MARK’S ARK BRINGS ANIMALS TO THE CLASSROOM
On March 21, Mr. Mark of “Mark’s Ark” visited the three kindergarten classes of St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School.
Mr. Mark brought a variety of animals to show the kindergartners, including chinchillas, an Australian bearded dragon, an African bullfrog, an African python, and a wild turkey, among others. He used humor and also talked about the animals’ habitats, diet and habits, and proved himself to be an able animal handler.
Some of the kindergartners were asked to hold some of the animals he brought. Mr. Mark and his animals delighted the kindergartners, and also made some kindergartners cringe, as when he brought out a tarantula and large black millipedes. The kindergarteners who participated in the Mark’s Ark presentation were the students of Mrs. Margaret Widner, Mrs. Tonya Brown and Miss Lindsay Kostoff.
