HELEN W. BARKER, 101
HELEN W. BARKER, 101, of Ossian, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 26, 1911 in Mercer County, OH to the late Charles and Myrtle (Leisner) Kuhn. She was a homemaker and a charter member of St. Therese Catholic Church.
Surviving are her children, Beverly Dennison of Bend, Oregon, Janet Herbst and Jerry (Bev) Barker, both of Ossian; sisters, Berniece Bott of Fort Wayne and Ruth Ross of Decatur; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and one step great grandson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Barker in 1979; grandson, Jeffrey Herbst; and three brothers and two sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation ½ hour prior. Visitation was also Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
