DONNA MARIE DETTMER, 67
DONNA MARIE DETTMER, 67, of Yoder, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Coventry Meadows. She was born April 8, 1945 in Grover Hill, Ohio to the late Erwin Dale and Harriett (Long) Eaken. Mrs. Dettmer worked at Fort Wayne Orthopedics for 20 years prior to retiring from PHP in 2007. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time cross stitching and gardening.
Surviving are her husband, Galen E. Dettmer of Yoder; children, Mark E. Dettmer and Trena M. Shine, both of Fort Wayne; siblings, Margaret (Walt) Womack of Antwerp, OH, Shirley (Ron) Myers of Sturgis, MI, Marjorie McBride of Fort Wayne, Marcella (Bob) Blackmore of Payne, OH, and Dana (Pam) Eaken of Antwerp, OH; four grandchildren, Nickolas Parker, Austin Dettmer, Brandon Parker, and Mallory Dettmer, all of Fort Wayne.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Eaken in 1976 and sister, Rita Lambert in 2012.
A funeral service was on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 16933 Thiele Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation 1 hour prior to services. Visitation also Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Burial in the church cemetery.
