GENE COLEMAN, 82

GENE COLEMAN, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born May 22, 1929 to the late Turpin and Jessie (Applegate) Coleman. Mr. Coleman retired from the Indiana Air National Guard in 1985 as a Senior Master Sergeant. He was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #241.

Surviving are his wife, JoAnn (Ray) Coleman of Fort Wayne; children, Robert D. Coleman of Coldwater, Michigan, Larry G. (Deena) Coleman of Fremont, Steven R. Coleman of Albion, Nancy A. Fisher of Fort Wayne, Judith M. Walzer of Poulsbo, Washington, and Linda J. (Jessie) Bezek of New Haven; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, William Coleman; sister, Ruth Scott; and grandson, Joshua Coleman.

Funeral service was Friday, July 29, 2011 at Noon at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Visitation on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial at Highland Park.
