KATHLEEN MARY WOOD, 83
KATHLEEN MARY WOOD, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away at Hospice Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. She was born November 27, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI to the late William and Catherine (McConnel) McNulty. Mrs. Wood retired as an Enterostomal Therapist and then worked at Lutheran Hospital in Patient Information and volunteered for many years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and formerly served as a board member for Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. She also served as a Girl Scout and Boy Scout Leader.
Surviving are her children, Carleen Wood of Fort Wayne, Kristy (John) Simon of Tampa, Florida, and Craig (Lisa Heroy) Wood of Goshen; 2 grandchildren, John and Megan Simon; 4 step grandchildren, Teagyn Weidner, Hannah Schneider, Crystal Wilson, and Lee Wilson; 3 step great grandchildren, Adeline and William Weidner, and Elle Schneider.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Carl Wood in 1994 and brothers William and Donald McNulty.
Mass of Christian Burial was on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, IN with one hour of visitation prior to Mass. Visitation was on Friday, May 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Highland Park.
