SCOUTING AROUND
SCOUT OF THE TIME
(A recognition for scouts that are doing a good job and sticking with the program.)
SCOUTING AROUND’s recognition of this year’s ‘Scout of the Time’ belongs to the son of David Hart of Waynedale. David’s son is Jonathan Hart and he is thirteen years old. He is currently a Star Scout in Troop 20 sponsored by the Queen of Angels Catholic Church on State Street. Jonathan lives with his mother Alma on Cedar Ridge Run here in Fort Wayne.
Jonathan was in Cub Pack 3320 before crossing over into Troop 20. He has earned the following merit badges: Weather, First Aid, Space Exploration, Indian Lore, Swimming, Finger Printing, Kayaking, Fishing, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, and Canoeing.
Jonathan plans to go to Bishop Dwenger High School and then continue on to Indiana University upon graduation. He said he likes playing basketball but did not say whether or not he wanted to play for the Hoosiers.
It looks like Jonathan will be wearing the coveted Eagle Rank on his chest in the very near future. Way to go Jonathan; we’re proud to know you and we’ll be watching your progress.
Jonathan’s Scoutmaster is Brian Gillet.
