BLUE BALL OPEN FIGHT AGAINST PROSTATE CANCER

Benefiting the fight against prostate cancer, a golf outing will be played at Cedar Creek Golf Course on Saturday, August 14 at 2pm.

Local sportscaster Kent Hormann and Executive Editor of The Waynedale News Cynthia Cornwell have been working diligently organizing this benefit with the proceeds to go to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana for prostate cancer awareness.

You’re going to like this! The benefit is called the BLUE BALL OPEN! The community has been awesome in their support!

And EVERYONE loves the title name.

The interest came when our town, Fort Wayne, IN turned pink in support for breast cancer.

Well…what about the men!?

Save the Males!

And putting together this unbelievable event has been so much fun…the guys as well as the girls have been eating it up!

Yes!

We will be giving each player a sleeve of BLUE BALLS!

And what goes with the Blue Balls?  Dick’s!  Well, that is, Dick’s Sporting Goods is donating some prizes.

Waynedale’s own John Rang from Bobick’s Golf has donated the Blue Balls!

Doug McKibben with Glenbrook Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep in Fort Wayne has a blue car on each of the Par 3’s with some great package deals.

Lutheran Health Network is sponsoring the course.

Northeast Indiana Urology is sponsoring the carts and additional sponsorship to include Blue Margaritas!

Five Star Distributing is sponsoring the beer at every 3rd hole. Kroger/Scott’s in Waynedale providing a blue sport drink and Arnie Palmer Half & Half Tee. Walmart-Apple Glen is providing the water and a beverage. A hog/chicken roast follows the day of golf with prizes.

INCnow Indiana News Center is currently running a psa.

Just to name a few…of our wonderful sponsors.

The Blue Ball Open is still accepting donations to be presented to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana – prostate cancer awareness.
