PLAY BALL!

The Fort Wayne TinCaps remain one of the most accessible teams in Minor League Baseball as they open the 2010 season. Once again, every home game is available on Comcast cable. All games, at home and on the road, are broadcast on ESPN Radio 1380-AM and online at TinCaps.com.

“We realize our fans are busy and might not be able to get out to the ballpark for every game,” TinCaps president Mike Nutter said. “The broadcasts are great ways to stay connected with the team every step of the way.”

The TinCaps are one of only a handful of Minor League Baseball teams to televise all of its home games. This season, each home game will be carried live on Comcast channel 82. TV broadcasts begin five minutes before game time. Veteran broadcaster Kent Hormann returns to head up the telecasts.

The Midwest League All-Star Game is a new addition to the TV broadcast schedule this year. The league’s best converge on Parkview Field on Tuesday, June 22 at 7:05 p.m. It is the first time Fort Wayne has hosted All-Star festivities since 1994.

On the radio side, Dan Watson is back for his second season providing play-by-play of every TinCaps game. Mike Maahs will be on the air in his sixth season broadcasting professional baseball in Fort Wayne. Radio broadcasts begin with the Hupe Insurance Pre-Game Show, 15 minutes prior to first pitch. All games can be heard on ESPN Radio 1380-AM and online at TinCaps.com.

Tickets are still available for each game.

TinCaps tickets, group outings and picnics for the 2010 season are on sale now. For more information, call (260) 482-6400.
