Cougars rematch with Pilots.

In the first half USF led 14-9, but Tony Benford hit 2 FTs giving Bethel College a lead of 19-18. After Sneary scored USF was with a 28-27 deficit. No. 12 Bethel College outscored No. 10 USF 25-7 for 19-point lead at half.

Second half USF never got closer than 15.

This was USF’s third consecutive loss and finished 4th in MCC, No. 4 seed for MCC tournament.

‘Dons Secure .500 Year

On Saturday afternoon, February 20 the crowd liked what they saw at the Memorial Coliseum when the IPFW Mastodons played the South Dakota State Jack Rabbits. 78-72.

“It’s raining three’s!” announced play-by-play ESPN Radio 1380 Kent Hormann, when IPFW hit nearly 70 percent of its three-pointers (13 of 19).

“With 14 wins, 15, and hopefully 16. We have set a Division I school record,” IPFW head coach Dane Fife said of his IPFW men’s basketball team. The Mastodons 14-13 overall, 9-8 Summit League conference play.

IPFW will finish the 2009-10 regular season on Saturday (2/26) at league-leading Oakland.
