USF SENIOR BACK-TO-BACK HONORS
Call her double-trouble. For the second week in a row, University of Saint Francis middle blocker Shellie Rumschlag has been named Mid-Central College Conference player and hitter of the week.
Rumschlag finished the week September 28-October 5 with her 10th double-double kills-digs in USF’s last 11 matches against No. 13 Olivet Nazarene . . . double-double vs. ONU 21 kills-26 digs in incredible 5-set match. She also had 16 kills and 18 digs in USF’s lone win in five matches at MCC rival Marian.
The 6-foot-2 senior (Bishop Luers H.S.) had a .388 attack percentage while averaging 3.89 kills per game. Rumschlag collected her 1,000th career kill on Senior night at USF.
This was the fourth time during Rumschlag’s four-year career that she has been selected MCC Player of the Week.
