SKIP HANCHAR, 65

SKIP HANCHAR, 65, died on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital. He was a graduate of Bishop Luers High School and St. Joseph College, Rensselaer. He served in the U.S. Army for two years. For the last 30 years, he was employed as a Project Manager for James S. Jackson Co., LLC, Bluffton, retiring 18 months ago. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Julie; son, Peter of Fort Wayne; daughters, Elizabeth (Dave) Mok of Fishers, Emily (Burk) Heroman and Rozlan (Ryan) Fransen, both of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; brother, Thomas; and sister, Linda Lee of Fort Wayne; grandson, Nicholas Mok; other family members include Jodie Hanchar and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Therese Catholic Church, with showing one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Waynedale. Private burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
