ROBERT JAMES “JIM” ROBERTS
ROBERT JAMES “JIM” ROBERTS went to be with his Heavenly Father Friday, September 04, 2009, as he was surrounded by his family. He was born in St. Petersburg, Florida and moved to Fort Wayne to attend the Fort Wayne Bible College to become a minister. He was a policeman and fireman for 36 years at the Fort Wayne International Airport, where he earned the rank of Captain.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn; daughters, Lugina Roberts, Robin Higgins, Kimberly (Adam) Vachon and Ashley (Jacob) Gibson; eight grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all who love him, until we see him again in Heaven.
Visitation was Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 6-8 at Nine Mile United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, IN. Funeral Service was at 11:00 AM at the church with calling 1 hour before. Burial was at Nine Mile Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN. Arrangements by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN.
Memorials are to Nine Mile United Methodist Church.
