ZOLA MARIE BRAND, 96

ZOLA MARIE BRAND, 96, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born on January 24, 1913, in Fort Wayne. She worked at General Electric during World War II and retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools as a custodian.

Surviving are son, Jack Johnson of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Mark Johnson of Los Angeles, California, Lisa Auston of Hayes, Virginia, Dawn Floyd, Diana Brown, Trinia Hughes, and April Lightsey, all of Boaz, Alabama; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Brand Sr., in 2000; and son, Donald Johnson.

Funeral service was Saturday, March 7 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Calling was Friday, March 6 at the funeral home. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
