BARBARA ANN RAY, 75
BARBARA ANN RAY, 75, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital. Born January 5, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Marshal B. and Ethel (Henneicke) McNutt. She was a bus driver with Fort Wayne Community Schools from 1967 to 2004 and a member of American Legion Post 241. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and her pets.
“She was a loving mother, friend and co-worker. She was the best mother anyone could ask for.”
Surviving are her children, Steven M. Ray of Fort Wayne, David (Waynette) Ray of Athens, Texas and Sue Ann of Fort Wayne; granddaughter, Alexandrea Ann Reed; great-granddaughter, Adelina; brother, William F. (Maryann) McNutt, Alexandria, Virginia; sister-in-law, Patricia Goff of Fort Wayne; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Ray.
Funeral service was Saturday, February 28 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
