LUERS CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF EDUCATION

Bishop Luers High School will celebrate 50 years of quality Catholic education with a bang of gold and silver, “A Knight to Remember,” Friday, April 24, 2009.

As we prepare for LuersKnight, we cannot dismiss the crisis in our nation. As many families struggle, we cannot forget one of the greatest and everlasting gifts that we all have, the community, love, and friendship of the Bishop Luers families. We are blessed to have such a close group of spirited parents, faculty, staff and students to lean on. Mother Teresa once said, “Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. We are all pencils in the hand of God. Let us begin.”

Mother Teresa sums up our confidence in the Bishop Luers families for your continued support and generosity of LuersKnight. LuersKnight is Bishop Luers’ largest fundraiser. It generates funds that assist in keeping all of our tuition costs lower every year. In addition, monies raised are used for the expenses of the school, such as, technology, expanding curriculum and professional development of the faculty and staff. Last year the Bishop’s Auction helped over 200 students with needs-based financial assistance.

We are hoping that our struggle to raise funds to meet our students educational needs and the historical significance of Bishop Luers High School in the Fort Wayne community would be of interest to you.

Please, if you would like further information or would like to speak to our LuersKnight Chairperson 456-1261.
