ALVIN MARTIN BUUCK, 89, died Friday, November 28, 2008, at Lutheran Home. Born December 8, 1918, in Fort Wayne, he served in the U.S. Army and worked as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service for 39 years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and he delivered food for Community Harvest Food Bank. He also loved trains.
He is survived by daughter, Betsy Buuck of Fort Wayne; son, John (Mary) Buuck of Bloomington; and two grandchildren, Lindsay and Sean Buuck of Bloomington, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean, in 2004.
Service was Tuesday, December 2 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Calling was Monday, December 1, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
