KATHLEEN ELIZABETH (SORG) BECKMAN, 84
KATHLEEN ELIZABETH (SORG) BECKMAN, 84, of Hoagland, died Thursday, September 18, 2008, at her residence. Born April 4, 1924, in Hoagland, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel. She retired from General Electric after 30 years and was a member of G.E. Quarter Century Club and Elex Club. She enjoyed her family, gardening and traveling.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Terry) Meyers and Rosalin (David) Gaskill, both of Hoagland; sons, Thomas Walter (Elaine Gale Fordyce) Beckman of Fort Wayne and Nicholas Joseph Beckman of Columbia City; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Francis Beckman, in 1978; son, Robert John Beckman.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, September 22, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, 11337 Old US 27 South, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation was Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
