ROBERT L. DIKTY, 74
ROBERT L. DIKTY, 74, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, September 7, 2008, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born May 22, 1934, in Fort Wayne, he was a dispatcher for NIPSCO, retiring in 1990. He was a member of AMVETS 33, American Legion 241, VFW 1421, and Southwest Conservation Club. He served in the Navy in the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Dikty of Fort Wayne; mother, Esther Geise of Fort Wayne; sons, Mark Dikty of Arizona, Tom Dikty, Matthew (Karen) Dikty and Timothy (Cindy) Dikty, all of Fort Wayne; stepsons, John (Danette) Preston of New Carlisle, Ohio and Dan (Luanne) Preston of Muncie; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step grandchildren.
Funeral service was Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Visitation was Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
