40TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Tom & Liz O’Brien recently celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary over Labor Day Weekend. They were married on August 31, 1948 at St. Joseph Church in Fort Wayne. Both graduated high school in 1966, Tom from Central Catholic and Elizabeth from Bishop Luers High schools. They met while they both attended International Business College in Fort Wayne. Tom is a lifelong city resident. Liz was born in Bavaria, Germany, and came over to our city with her parents at age 4. The couple was members of Saint Therese Church for 29 of those 40 years. They have 4 children: Bobby age 39, Bret 34, Richie 31 and Kristi 18. Bobby and Bret reside in Fort Wayne, Rich in Tampa, Florida and Kristi is attending IUPUI on a Golf scholarship. The couple also have 8 grandchildren including one (Conner) deceased.
