SGT Tracy (Metz) Moore recently returned home from Camp Bucca, Iraq where she had served as a combat medic for the past year.
She is a member of the Fort Wayne based 384th Military Police Battalion headquartered on Nuttman Avenue. SGT Moore is the daughter of Edward and Elaine Metz who reside in Avalon. Moore is a 1997 graduate of Wayne High School.
She joined the reserves when she was a junior at Wayne. In March 2003 she was deployed to Guatanamo Bay, Cuba where she served for one year.
When she returned she continued her education. She received her EMT certification in 2005 and in May 2006 she received her college degree and was married. A few short weeks later, her husband, SFC Nicholas Moore deployed to Kuwait.
Six months later she deployed to Iraq-last November. In June they will take their long awaited honeymoon to Italy. They reside in Kokomo.
