WILLIAM E. “BILL” NELSON, 70

WILLIAM E. “BILL” NELSON, 70, surrounded with his loving family, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Parkview Hospital. Born on September 18, 1937 to Edgar and Beatrice (Houser) Nelson. He was a life long native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and attended Xaivier University. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Fort Wayne Board of Realtors. He married his sweetheart, Kay (Tancey) on February 16, 1963. He was owner of Neleson Realtor/Appraisals.

He loved spending time with his family, friends and especially enjoyed his summers at Lake James. He was a funny, intelligent, courageous and holy man who loved his faith, wife, children and grandchildren unconditionally.

In addition to Kay, his loving wife of 45 years, he is survived by his sons, Greg (Linda) Nelson of West Bloomfield, Michigan, Mark Nelson, Chris (Monica) Nelson, and his daughter, Molly (Mike) Blume all of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Adam, Natalie, Nicole, Hannah, Victoria, Nick, William, Erica, Sam, Isaac, Willie, Chloe, Thomas, Jessica, James, Sage, and Mia.

His family would like to thank the caring staff at Parkview Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial was 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road with calling one hour prior, Fr. Anthony Steinacker officiating. Calling was also from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with Rosary at 4 p.m. Sunday. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.

Preferred memorials to Masses or St. Charles Educational Fund.
