THOMAS J. FELTS ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR RE-ELECTION AS ALLEN CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE

Thomas J. Felts has filed his Declaration of Candidacy with the Indiana Election Division to officially become a candidate for the Republican nomination for Allen Circuit Court Judge.

 

“Having lived and worked in Allen County all my life, I am well acquainted with its people and their concerns. My 18 years on the bench have well prepared me to continue in this challenging position,” stated Judge Felts.
Judge Felts was elected to the Allen Circuit Court bench in November 2002, having previously served as Magistrate of the Allen Circuit Court Family Relations Division since October 1989. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a 1979 graduate of the Indiana University – Bloomington School of Law. He is married to Kathryn A. Felts and has three sons.

Long active in state and local affairs, Judge Felts currently serves as President of the Indiana Judges Association and Vice-Chair of the Allen County Community Corrections Board of Directors as well as on the Boards of Directors of the Indiana Judicial Conference, the Foellinger Foundation, the Allen County Courthouse Preservation Trust and the Allen County Public Records Commission. He also serves on the Indiana Commission on Courts, the Indiana Forensic Diversion Study Commission and the Indiana Judicial Conference Probation Committee.

 

Richard T. Doermer serves as Chair of the Thomas J. Felts for Re-Election as Allen Circuit Court Judge Committee. Thomas A. Hardin serves as the Committee Treasurer.
