DOROTHA W. (CRAWFORD) MERREN

A family notice to all who missed the notification of death of my wife, Dorotha W. (Crawford) Merren, and keep trying to reach her by calling the house. It saddens me to tell you than my loving wife was called home by God. I and her family greatly appreciate your concern and your friendship for her and ask that you would please keep her in your prayers. God bless you and yours.

 

DOROTHA W. (Crawford) MERREN, of Fort Wayne, died Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at her home. Born in Lima, Ohio, she was a Machine Operator with Bowmar Instrument Company for 28 years. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, volunteer for St. Joseph Hospital for over 25 years, Civic Theater for seven years and St. Mary’s Soup Kitchen.

Survivors include husband, Richard H. Merren Jr. of Fort Wayne; son, John (Gloria) Kruse of South Bend; nine grandchildren; and brother, Arthur Snyder of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Fritz Kruse, in 2000, and Gary W. Nevius, in 2005.

Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Msgr. William Lester officiating. Calling was at D. O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with Rosary. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
