VERNA A. AUSTIN, 75, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, August 27, 2006, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born August 10, 1931, in Buchanan, Michigan, she was a homemaker. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 241.

Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Austin; daughter, Carolyn (Gregg) Munro of Fort Wayne; sons, Michael L. (Evelyn) Morse of Poe and Douglas W. (Velma) Morse of Fort Wayne; one brother; one sister; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel F. Morse; and 9 brothers and sisters.

Memorial service was Friday at Calvary Third United Presbyterian Church, 4700 S. Anthony Blvd. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Memorials to American Heart Association. Arrangements by Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
