STUDENTS FROM ST. JOSEPH-ST. ELIZABETH SCHOOL PARTICIPATE IN BLESS OUR TROOPS
Students from St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School recently participated in a stewardship project called Bless Our Troops. Names of servicemen were given to the school from parish and school families. Classrooms then “adopted” the servicemen. Students wrote letters or drew pictures as well as lighting a candle and praying for the serviceman, his troop, and his family every day.
Mrs. Mary Stark and her fourth grade class had a recent visit from their “adopted” serviceman, Capt. Mike Holifield. Capt. Mike told of his experiences in Iraq, answered questions from the students, and even posed for a few photos.
The St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth Home & School Association would like to thank all teachers and students that were involved in this moving and powerful stewardship project. May all our troops know that they will continue to be in our prayers.
