DORIS U. DeCLERCQ, 80, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Waynedale, died Saturday, May 20, 2006 at University Park Nursing Center, Fort Wayne. She was born April 3, 1926, in Dillman, Indiana. She was a homemaker and years ago had worked at Perfection Biscuit Company. She was a member of the Evening Star Homemaker’s club, and Waynedale United Methodist Church.
Surviving are four sisters, Phillis (Max) Krouse of Mt. Morris, Michigan, Mary Jane (Lee) Isenhart of Midland, Mich., Laura Chapin of Greenville, Mich., and Nancy Campbell of Stanton, Michigan; five brothers, William (Betty) Slusher of Fort Wayne, Tom (Sarah) Slusher of Edmore, Michigan, Dan (Sue) Slusher of Zephyrhills, Florida, John (Marcia) Slusher of Madisonville, Kentucky, and Dick (Wendy) Slusher of Lansing, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband, Raymond DeClercq in 1997; her parents; sister, Anna Perkins; and brother, Kenneth Slusher.
Service was Tuesday, May 23, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
