BISHOP LUERS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR STATE TRACK MEET

Bishop Luers High School students Melanie Huhn and Krista Leffers both qualified for the IHSAA Girls State Track Meet to be held in Bloomington on June 2nd 2006.

Melanie holds the school record in the shot put with a throw of 40′ 3″ and will compete next weekend in that event.

Krista is a school record holder in both the 100-meter high hurdles and 300-meter low hurdles and will compete in both events at the state track meet.

Also qualifying for state from Bishop Luers is Porsche Jackson in the 400-meter dash, and the 1600-meter relay team of Heather Thelen, Lizzy McEntee, Porsche Jackson, and Krista Leffers.
