MARGARET ROSE WEBER
MARGARET ROSE WEBER, died Friday, April 21, 2006, at the home of her daughter, Cheryl Rotruek, of Fort Wayne. She had been in declining health the past five years due to a stroke. She was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to St. Joseph, Michigan as a child. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, married her high school sweetheart right after graduation and was married for 53 years to Robert E. Weber, who preceded her in death in 2000. She lived briefly in Indianapolis in the 60s and moved to Fort Wayne, in 1970, where she lived until 2003. She spent time in Lapel, Indiana, with her youngest daughter, Linda Steele, until a month ago. She was self-employed as a cosmetologist for over 30 years, owning the Blue Room Beauty Salon in Waynedale. She worked until she suffered a stroke in October of 2001. She was a member of the American Legion Post 241, Am Vets, and Fraternal Order of the Eagles. She attended Faith Church in Anderson, enjoyed playing cards, bingo, bowling, cooking, and spending time with family.
She is survived by five children, Robert C. Weber of Ann Arbor. Michigan, Sandra L. Burke (Pat) of Lafayette, Peggy Stasko (Wes) of Gaylord, Michigan, Cheryl Rotruck of Fort Wayne and Linda Steele (Rob) of Lapel; sister, Dorothy Turow of West Branch Michigan; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by, her husband Robert; her parents; one sister; and three brothers.
Memorial service celebration was 7 p.m. Monday at Faith Church, 2817 E. 53rd St., Anderson. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, Michigan.
