J. KENNETH FARRIS, 68
J. KENNETH FARRIS, 68, of Warren and formerly of Fort Wayne, died Friday, February 24, 2006. Born April 18, 1937 in Nauvoo, Alabama, he attended Central High School in Fort Wayne. He retired in 1999 as a Crane Operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 103, after 40 years of service.
He was a former Crane Instructor for Local 103 Apprenticeship Program, Daleville and was a member of the Local 103 Retirees Club.

Survived by his wife, Marvis J. Farris; daughter, Tammy R. Diehm of Fort Wayne; sons, James K. (Karla) Farris Jr. of Fort Wayne and Rev. Robert J. (Judy) Farris of Decatur; grandchildren, Jake Farris, Jess Farris, John Farris and Noah Diehm, all of Fort Wayne, Ashley Farris and Katlyn Farris, both of Decatur and Don (Stephanie) Hettinger of Sheppard AFB, Texas; three great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda R. (Ron) Smith of Fort Wayne; half-brothers, Jack (Marlys) Williams of Puyallup, Washington and Larry (Janet) Williams of Clinton, Michigan; half-sisters, Ann Witek of Oakland, Michigan and Sherry (Dennis) Kowalik of Clarkston, Michigan.
Funeral Service was Wednesday, March 1, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family’s preferred memorial as the donor’s choice.
