RUSSELL D. DEAM, 79

RUSSELL D. DEAM, 79, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005. The Decatur native was a Fort Wayne resident most of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired as a chemical engineer with Magnavox Corporation.

Survivors include his wife Virginia Deam; daughter Sandy Deam (Louis) Bonham of Columbia City; son Steven Dale (Linda) Deam of Columbia City; daughter Cathy (Joe) Smiley of Fort Wayne; sister Mildred Bevington of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother Ralph Deam.

Funeral service was Saturday, November 19, at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.

Preferred memorials to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home or Riley Hospital For Children.
