GENEVIEVE “ELAINE” SPENCER, 81
GENEVIEVE “ELAINE” SPENCER, 81, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, October 17, 2005, at Lutheran Home, Fort Wayne. Born January 26, 1924, in Decatur, she worked at Wabash Fiber Box, retiring in 1986. She was active in the Hillcrest Bowling League, founder and president of the Doubletts League, and she was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Church.
Surviving are her husband, Richard F. Spencer; daughters, Sylvia Sue Byrd of Fort Wayne, Linda Dian Schwartz of Milford, Connie Lou Whiteside and Becky Jo Mills, both of Fort Wayne, and Teresa Kay Morphew of Indianapolis; stepsister, Anna L. Mendonhall of Bluffton; stepbrother, Jack Chilcote of Decatur; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was Friday, October 21, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
