A FREE DANCE LESSON

Many years ago, I asked an elder by the‑name of Big Elk, “How do I learn to dance at the pow wows, Big Elk?” This is what he told me, and what I now tell you, if you have a heart and mind to come and join me and others in the blessed and sacred circle. Stand outside of the circle for a little while, and if you have any hostility or anger, leave that outside the circle.‑Say a gratitude prayer, and when you step into the pow wow circle, Grandfather will move your feet for you. You will know that you have been blessed by the Holy Spirit and that you and everyone in this circle are doing things in a good way. Yes, you are blessing all of God’s creation, for you are dancing.May all your footsteps be a prayer.

Aho!
