WILLIAM C. NICKERSON, 86

WILLIAM C. NICKERSON, 86, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, May 2, 2005, at Covington Manor Nursing Home. Born June 22, 1918, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Arthur Nickerson and Louise Starke.

He was a Machine Processer/office for General Electric Company for 45 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church and G.E. Quarter Century Club.

Surviving are daughter, Barbara Hawkins of Fort Wayne; two grandsons, Timothy Hawkins and Kyle Hawkins, both of Fort Wayne; one brother, Arthur Nickerson of Fort Wayne; and five great-grandchildren, Joey, Zachary, Taylor, Dallas and Tiffany.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois Miller, in 1997.

Funeral service was Friday, May 6, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with Pastor Aaron Robbins officiating. Burial in Green-lawn Memorial Park.
