SHIRLEY J. TEETERS, 69

SHIRLEY J. TEETERS, 69, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Lutheran Hospital. Born August 4, 1935, in Fort Wayne, she was a Librarian for Fort Wayne Community Schools for 26 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Edwin L. Teeters Jr.; sons, Kirk E. (Linda) Teeters, Craig A. (Amy) Teeters and Kevin R. (Eva) Teeters, all of Fort Wayne; daughter, Catherine Teeters of Fort Wayne; sisters, Dorothy Dobler of Winterhaven, Florida and Betty “BI” Winter of Phoenix, Arizona; and eight grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Edna Starkel; and brothers, Robert, Frank, Walter, Richard and Howard Starkel.

Funeral service was Monday, April 18, at Waynedale United Methodist Church, 2501 Church St. Visitation was Sunday, April 17 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Preferred memorials to Waynedale United Methodist Church, Cancer Services of Allen County and American Heart Association.
