JAMES E. LENWELL, 77
JAMES E. LENWELL, 77, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, February 19, 2005, in Fort Wayne. Born April 23, 1927, in Huntington, he was a Carpenter Superintendent of Building and Grounds at Covington Creek Condominium Homes, retiring in 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church and 50 year member of Bluffton Masonic Lodge 145. He served in the Army during World War II and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving are sons, Chris J. of San Francisco, California, Kim E. (Glenda) of Roanoke and Martyn F. (Charlene) Lenwell of Ossian; stepson, Gary McMillen of Fort Wayne; sister, Anna Jean Stanley of Huntington; and grandchildren, Aaron (Kristy) of Davenport, Iowa, Craig of Roanoke, Casey of Bluffton, Amanda Lenwell of Roanoke and stepson Gary McMillen.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Lenwell; son, K. Richard Lenwell; stepson, William McMillen; sister, Mary Bucher; and brothers, Clyde Lewis, Freddrick “Fritz”, Donald “Smokey” Lenwell. And stepson William McMillen.
Funeral service was Tuesday February 22, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
