ABOUT THE MOVIE “DREAMER” CREATED BY GEORGE JOHNSON

Johnson began writing and shooting short films back in 1979, at the age of five, using an 8mm film camera that he purchased at a relative’s garage sale. Eight years later, at age 13, he purchased his first home video camera. Over the next ten years, his “video dabbling” developed into more of a skilled art form, and at age 22, he produced his first national award-winning video.

In the years that followed, Johnson held the role of Program Director of a WKTV, a Grand Rapids, MI-based television station, then he took a position in the production department of WZZM, another Grand Rapids-based station, where he was quickly promoted to Editor. He also worked with various production companies, producing corporate videos and television commercials. Currently, he is the Production Manager of WINM, an Ohio-based television station, where he directs four television programs per week, and writes and directs national and international TV commercials.

Johnson has been married to Karen Johnson (who served as the Props/Wardrobe/Makeup Artist and the Extras Director on the movie) for five years. They have two children, and are currently expecting their third.

“It’s been a long 4 1/2 years of work, but it’s been a blessing to see how God has been speaking to people through it,” said George Johnson.

“DREAMER: The Movie” is a story about pursuing a dream, even when it seems like all odds are against you. “DREAMER” isn’t an evangelistic tool by nature – it’s more of a fun, entertaining movie with a Biblical worldview.

The movie is free of bad language, adult content, and graphic violence. Christian reviewers have given it a suggested “PG” rating.

The main hope is that all viewers will leave the theater feeling refreshed about life, and about their ability to show love toward others.

“DREAMER” is not a conventional movie. This is one of those movies you may watch over and over again because, like the Bible, what you see on the surface is not what you’re ultimately gonna get. The more you search, the more you get out of it, and that is the blessing of “DREAMER.”
