A EULOGY TO MY WIFE
Wendy Louise ‘Daisy’ Cassell, by Jim ‘Rooster’ Cassell
I met Wendy Schneider 13-years ago on January 7, 1992 at the Window Garden Restaurant. Her mother worked there on the ‘Lucky 13th Floor’. Even though we had been married over 10 1/2 years (almost 11), we had been tested together through all circumstances.
We both have mental illnesses. I have Manic/Bipolar Depression Disorder and Wendy had Chronic Depression Disorder. Besides the mental illness Wendy had an enlarged heart, hypothyroid condition, and diabetes. Although, we had our other problems, including money problems and other struggles, we always found time for each other.
Wendy passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2005, a couple of days from a year ago when my friend Charlie ‘Franklin’ Willer had died. My grandmother also passed on January 29, 1994, three months before my stroke.
I will truly miss Wendy as my great friend, lover, wife, my baby and other words it’s hard too express and explain.
I called her ‘Daisy’ because she was not only my flower and sunshine but, the most wonderful human being that ever graced my heart and life.
I love you and really miss you Daisy.
