VAL E. HARMEYER, 87

VAL E. HARMEYER, 87, of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, January 16, 2005, at Covington Manor, Fort Wayne. Born March 13, 1917, in Fort Wayne, he was a self-employed janitorial window washer and served in the Army.

Surviving are daughters, Valerie (Mike) Brown of Rome City, Jane (Jim) Bates of Fort Wayne and Jill (Russ) Lee of Zanesville; sons, Robert Harmeyer, Kenneth (Faye) Harmeyer, John (Nancy) Harmeyer and Gerald Harmeyer, all of Fort Wayne and Joseph (Judy) Harmeyer of Huntington; brother, Ernie Harmeyer of Fort Wayne; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Kramer Harmeyer; and daughter, Kathleen Harmeyer.

Funeral service was Thursday, January 20, at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
