EDNA F. “MERT” ARMSTRONG, 95

EDNA F. “MERT” ARMSTRONG, 95, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, October 15, 2004, at the Hospice Home. Born August 18, 1909, in Mohawk, she was the daughter of Jesse Barnard and Sarah Fuller. She was a Wage Clerk for General Electric Company for 31 years, retiring in 1974. She was an avid bowler and volunteered for the Red Cross. She was a member of G.E. Elex Partizan Chapter and Star of the East Chapter 514.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Aarwood DeLeury in 1949; second husband, Bernard Armstrong, in 1964; and her parents.

Graveside service was Tuesday, October 19, at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Chaplain Roberta Ring officiating. O.E.S. Star of the East Chapter 514 service was Monday, October 18.

Preferred memorials to Cancer service of Allen County or Visiting Nurse Service and Hospice Home.
