ROANOKE BAPTIST RELOCATES
Roanoke Baptist Church, two and one-half years after a devastating fire which destroyed their facilities, has purchased the Lafayette Central School at Exit 1, I-469, for a permanent home. They plan to add a large new auditorium onto the school in the not-too-distant future. Plans are to move the church and school there yet this summer.
The congregation moved their services to the old Jefferson Center School in Whitley County right after the fire. The church had acquired that facility six years prior to that, where they held the K-12 Roanoke Baptist School. That building will be retained by the church, which plans to start a resident college there and continue their Answer Publications ministry.
