ELIZABETH JANE (GERIG) ANGEL, 88
ELIZABETH JANE (GERIG) ANGEL, 88, of Frederick, MD, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, June 15, 1916, she was the daughter of Ezra Stanley and Rose (Sherzinger) Gerig. She was an art major at Northwestern University and received a nursing degree from Michael Reese Hospital, School of Nursing in Chicago. Mrs. Angel was a member of St. John Episcopal Church in Olney, MD and St. Bartholomew Episcopal Church in Laytonsville, MD.
Survivors include her husband, Paul H. Angel Jr. of Olney, MD; daughters, Kathryn A. (John M.) Whitcomb of Holyoke, Mass. and Rosemary A. (Charles “Rick”) Wolfe of Frederick, MD; sons, Paul H. (Linda) Angel III of Prince Frederick, MD, Jonathon M. (Lindy) Angel of Middletown, MD and George S. (Barbara) Angel of Laytonsville, MD; grandchildren, Benjamin L. Whitcomb, Samuel P. Whitcomb, Daniel J. Whitcomb, Derek M. Angel, Paula Ann Angel, Alex G. Angel and Cory R. Angel.
Mrs. Angel was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Marie (Gerig) Nisbet.
Funeral Service was Wednesday, June 30 in The Bohn Chapel, Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 W. Main St. Arrangements by Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St.
The preferred memorials are the American Heart Association or Special Olympics.
