Where: This tour will offer the public the opportunity to visit eight churches on the south side of Fort Wayne.

MAIN STREET CHALK WALK 2004

Main Street Chalk Walk is a community event for artists of all ages and levels of ability.  No training in art is necessary-merely the desire to join hundreds of your fellow artists in joyfully covering Main Street with colorful and exciting street art.

FREE CONCERTS AT FOELLINGER OUTDOOR THEATRE

~Thursday, July 8, 8:00pm, “Knights on the Town”.

The Knights on the Town started as a college class with credit in 1965.  Mary Newbauer and other members were in the original group as music education majors, and are still performing and inspiring others today.  Fort Wayne’s Alley Kats are a favorite tap dance troupe who began as an exercise class at the Community Center years ago.

Kid Kazooey and the BallRoom Roustabouts are a circus wrapped up in a band.    But they also appeal to adult audiences with their Motown, Ragtime and Rock musicianship.

Bill Hernandez directs this band in a military presentation as a tribute to our armed forces.

John Branam Big Band will present an evening of instrumental and vocal music from the big band era.

 

RUN WILD AT THE FORT WAYNE CHILDREN’S ZOO, JULY 4

Competitors of all ages are gearing up for the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo’s 15th annual Run Wild! Race on Sunday, July 4 at 7:30am

Hundreds of runners and competitive walkers will pass through Franke Park, challenging on-and off-road course.  Participants will pass through Franke Park, up Soap Box Derby Hill, and through the zoo on their way to the finish line.  The 4-mile course is one of the areas toughest.

Those interested may register until 7am on race day, or by contacting the zoo at 427-6808.  Registration is $20 per person.
