PHILIP D. TAPP, 74

PHILIP D. TAPP, 74, died Monday, May 17 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, he was a Meat Cutter with the Tapp Family Market for 10 years, retiring in 1993. He was an Air Force Korean War Veteran and a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Tapp of Fort Wayne; sons Steven and Scott Tapp, both of Fort Wayne, Mark Tapp of Kentucky, Jeff and Gregg Tapp, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Karen Stellhorn and Diane Rooney, both of Fort Wayne, Kim Martin of Wolcottville, Maureen Dimit of Fort Wayne; stepsons, Michael and Robert Lee, both of Fort Wayne; stepdaughters, Cheryl Crickmore of Columbia City, Cynthia Goheen and Lauri Spurgeon, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Robert Tapp of Fort Wayne; sister, Helen Miller of Fort Wayne; 45 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Tapp.

Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, May 21 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, with calling one hour prior to service. Vigil was at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
